He took over the lead in his own time - between the last two obstacles in the  Four lengths behind, Shinco Berlais (Indian River) got back up to take second place from Melcastle (Medaaly). After making an error at the last hurdle, Cyrlight gave up, and played no further part in the battle.
"He worked really well on Monday", said Marcel Rolland about Questarabad. "It was a real race today but he doesn't seem to have a hard race. I feel that this is one of the easiest victories of his career. He has been slow to develop and I don't think it would be wise to go chasing or abroad with him. He runs well here."

This Sunday, on ground softened by rain, Long Run showed what he was capable of...Rubi Ball was beaten on his return by Cokydal (Cadoudal), in the Prix Edmond Barrachin, when taking another second place. The chestnut had long led operations in the company of Rubis sur Ongle (Robin Field), but he could do nothing in the straight to worry Long Run. "He committed many mistakes, especially over the small obstacles, analysed Christophe Pieux. "He is a gentleman in his character. He reminds me of Or Jack... He does what he wants!"
