The €90,000 Prix de Triquerville (Listed chase-4yos-4100 m) was dominated by two colts of the future, Rhialco (AQPS-Dom Alco) and Mail de Bievre (Cadoudal). Although still quite inexperienced over fences they nonetheless left their pursuers fifteen lengths behind them. "My orders were to ride him handily, and he did not pull," said Jacques Ricou, the jockey of the winner, who rode a treble on the card. "After the mistake of Tyko (Robin Field), I took the lead at the open ditch. I think he will make a nice horse as he jumps very well." Rhialco was a faller in the Prix Bayonets two weeks ago. He won an AQPS steeplechase at Auteuil in the spring, when he beat notably Rushwell (AQPS-Shaanmer), third today, and Rock In (AQPS-Video Rock). His mother, Fhilida (AQPS-Zelphi) has already produced Qhilimar (AQPS-Ragmar), winner of the Prix de Rivoli this year.

The 6 year old Puerto Rico (AQPS- Video Rock) did not mess up on his first time over chase fences in the €50,000 Prix Decazes (3700m), when easily getting the best of Cadouraki (Cadoudal). The winner, bred by Thierry Cypres and Jean-Francois Naudin, is out of the good mare Ireland (AQPS-Kadalko). He was already one of the good hurdlers at Auteuil and has a promising career over fences ahead of him now. "He has confirmed what I thought of him," said his trainer, Philippe Peltier, who had just trained a double at Auteuil thanks to Quitto Bleu (AQPS-Agent Bleu) victory. "He takes more time over the fences and this allows him time to breathe. He is easier to manage in this discipline. We'll have to study the programme but the General Donnio could be on the cards if it does not come too soon. Everything depends on how he comes out of this race. He had a hard race in the La Barka, on the day of the Grand Steeple, and I should not have run him again in the spring."

Second to Super Vision on her second attempt over fences at Auteuil on September 16th, Message Personnel (AQPS-Mansonnien) made a successful return in the €50,000 Prix Elisa (AQPS-4&5yo Females-3500m). The Guillaume Macaire charge tracked the leader Raflesia (AQPS- Video Rock) and Querenice (AQPS-Rock Video) and in the end fought off the attack of Rika d'Airy (AQPS-Cachet Noir). Reunion (AQPS-Fragrant Mix) finished well in fourth place behind a courageous Querenice who had been slowed up by a few mistakes. "It was pretty easy," said James Reveley, the winning jockey. "She deserved to win this race and I was never in any trouble. She is a great jumper." Message Personnel was co-bred by the EURL du Chêne, Roger-Yves Simon and the SCEA La Perrigne. She is out of the winner of the Prix Glorieuse, Moulouya (AQPS-urgeon), a sister of Temara (AQPS-Rex Magna), the dam of Azertyuiop and Bipbap.
