Quentin des Prés Aqps Corse

AUteuil 22 mars 2009 www.frogsracing.com Quentin des Prés (AQPS-Robin des Près) trotted up in the €50,000 AQPS 5+yo Chase (4,100m) and remained unbeaten in three races this year. The Philippe Lefevre-trained, Corsica-bred by Jean-Pierre Masselin grey, should soon go for gold against the thoroughbred as he just had a few looks at his rival without seeming to bother racing. He actually toyed wit the other ones. Jean-Pierre Masselin is a permit holder from Compiegne, North of Paris, but he moved to Corsica a few years ago to train over there. There are a few anglo-arabs bred on the Mediterranean island but very rarely do the locals make it to the continent, let alone the most demanding jumping racecourse in the country. « Quentin des Pres has always been a very good individual, a pleasure to handle, said Philippe Lefevre from his Moselle headquarters, near the German border. He came back all right and I have not decided what to do do next with him. HIs owner is not hurried so we could just as well wait for the autumn. There is no need to rush. »
